FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Libertarian Party of Rhode Island Endorses Michael Fleury for Ward 5 in Warwick City Council Race.

At its annual convention, members of the Libertarian Party of Rhode Island (LPRI) voted to endorse Michael Fleury in his bid to win the Ward 5 seat in Warwick’s city council race in the 2022 general election. The vote to award Fleury the endorsement was unanimously given by members present at the convention.

Fleury is a long-time resident of Warwick and a chef by trade. He formerly owned businesses in Providence and Warwick and currently owns Tomaselli’s in Cranston.

Fleury’s campaign will pursue policies championing freedom for one and all. He will work from the bottom up to cut the city’s budget, reduce spending, and lower the tax burden for residents and businesses owners. He also has a plan to convert disused city schools into affordable housing projects administered by private organizations.

“After seeing the issues gripping the city and its residents the last couple years, I felt compelled to stand and run to bring a different voice to a city council made up of idealists who all share the same voice. The residents and the struggling businesses need a new voice that will listen to and fight for all.” said Fleury
