The 2020 State Convention of the Libertarian Party of Rhode Island is planned for Monday, April 20 at Murphy’s Law Irish Pub, 2 George Street, Pawtucket. This year, elections are for the two-year term of vice chair and treasurer, as well as the annual election of member-at-large.

Check-in is at 7 p.m. and the business meeting begins promptly at 7:30. The business meeting is free but registration is requested to assure a quorum and to plan ballots and other business meeting supplies.

Food may be ordered at your option from the Pub’s regular menu. Cash bar is available.

You do not have to be a member to attend the meeting, but you must be a member in good standing (dues paid up to date by March 20) to run for office or vote in any election or party business.

In addition to elections, an important part of annual convention business is review of amendments to the LPRI Bylaws. Proposed revisions to the Bylaws will be posted to the Website and available for review 21 days before the convention. Your LPRI membership must be current and in good standing to vote on Bylaws and in elections, and to run for office (national membership does not qualify, sorry). RENEW or BECOME A MEMBER HERE.
